The purpose of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) is to educate young men and women while preparing them for military service in the Department of the Navy as commissioned officers. These individuals receive an undergraduate degree, are provided an opportunity at a four to five year career, which can lead to a 20-40 year career, and develop a lifetime set of skills. For more information regarding these opportunities and how to apply, please review the links provided below for your convenience.

There are several avenues that can lead you along the path to becoming an Officer in the Navy or Marine Corps. If you are a junior or senior in high school, please refer to the NROTC National Scholarship webpage. For those already attending college there are a few options available, please review the non-scholarship participant link. If there are any further questions, please contact the University of Utah NROTC main office for further details.
