Major Warming completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego in 1999. Following graduation, he immediately attended the School of Infantry (SOI) and was designated an 0351 assaultman. Following SOI, he reported to Fox Company, Second Battalion, First Marines. From 2000 – 2003, he held the billets of coxswain, fireteam leader, and assistant section leader. During this period, he deployed on both the 11th and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable (MEU-SOC), including Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) I. Following OIF I, he reported to the First Marines Regimental Boathouse, and deployed with Regimental Combat Team (RCT) 1 in early 2004 for OIF II. During this tour, he was attached to Second Battalion, Fourth Marines in Ramadi. Following this deployment, he returned to the First Marine Regiment.

In 2005, he attended Recruiting School and was assigned to Permanent Contact Station (PCS) North Bend, under Recruiting Station (RS) Portland, Oregon. In 2006, he was selected for MECEP and attended the University of Idaho from 2007 – 2010, majoring in Justice Studies. He attended The Basic School in 2011 and was designated a Military Police Officer. Following the Military Police Officer Basic Course, he was assigned to First Law Enforcement Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force from 2012 - 2014. During this tour he completed assignments as Platoon Commander and Company Commander. He also deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan for one year as the Officer in Charge for the Personal Security Detail of the Commander, International Security Assistance Force.

In 2014, Major Warming received orders to Recruiting Station Raleigh, North Carolina, where he served as the Executive Officer. Upon completion, he attended Military Police Captain’s Career Course. In 2018, he again received orders to First Law Enforcement Battalion. During this tour, he held billets as the Assistant Operations Officer, Operations Officer, and Headquarters and Support Company Commander. He then reported to the Army Command and General Staff College in August of 2020. Upon graduation, he assumed duties as the Executive Officer and Marine Officer Instructor for the University of Utah NROTC program.

Major Warming holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster’s University. His personal awards include the Purple Heart, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x2), and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Major Warming and his wife, Tracy, are natives of the Oregon coast. They have three children; Hunter, Brisco, and Ashlyn.
